Licensed in Ohio and California, and admitted into the United States District Court Southern District of California, Ms. Adams focuses her criminal practice on representing clients in felony, misdemeanor and juvenile courts.
Within Ms. Adams' domestic relations practice, her focus is child custody disputes, child support modifications and appeals of final divorce decrees. Ms. Adams has over fifteen years of experience working in the child welfare system. Ms. Adams spent thirteen years as a treatment group home parent for teenage male foster children. As a foster parent, she cared for severely abused and neglected foster children, many of whom had been adjudicated delinquent of violent crimes. Her experience as a foster parent has given Ms. Adams a great deal of knowledge of the process of a dependency/neglect/abuse court case. As a result, Ms. Adams' expertise is sought when a parent is faced with allegations of child abuse or neglect.
Ms. Adams' estate planning practice varies from drafting simple wills to special needs trusts. She has experience filing for and advising clients through the conservatorship/guardian process, as well as challenges to a will.
As a special education law attorney, Ms. Adams represents client's navigating the complex maze of 504 Plans, Individual Education Plans and Manifestation and Due Process hearings. Ms. Adams fights for every child to receive the support they are legally entitled to in order to achieve a Free and Appropriate Education.
